Immediately following your meditation, pick up your pen and ~ing-write (freewrite) for ten minutes. The topic of the ~ing-write is “How have I projected my fear onto others?” Let your pen flow and allow your ~ing to guide you to understand your assignment.

Show Up

It’s one thing to recognize the assignment, but it’s another thing entirely to show up for it. Remember that showing up for the assignment is one of the most powerful ways to restore your thoughts back to love. By seeing love in the face of another person you know the true meaning of oneness. Allow all your resentments to become assignments and show up for them one day at a time.

Know that you’ll receive all the support you need along the way. Keep in mind that your ~ing works through people; as the Course says, “No one is sent by accident to anyone.” Pay attention to those who are there to serve your growth. Listen and be guided.

In the coming chapter you’ll deepen your understanding of the holy encounter. Take your work from this chapter with you as I guide you to deepen your faith in miracles. By committing to the work, you will learn to rely on your ~ing rather than on your ego. As you start to feel the relief of choosing love over fear, you’ll come to wonder why you ever chose otherwise.
